This one was made for RCmania, and my second 3d model. These last few years I've been doing some modelling, but not complete models, just testing scenes for my 3d engines. This time I had the extra motivation because there was a chance that this model could get in the game. So I started with the box and came up with this:
The car is based on a concept by Marco Vale, it came out a bit different from the original. The color of the original concept was later changed to this army blueish camouflage. Below you can see the UV layout and the diffuse texture:
This one turned out pretty cool, but it still looks very amateur. I'm not planning to go professional so it's ok. |

I always wanted to learn the ABC of low-polygon modelling and understand more about the artist perspective, so I tried it. I took some time to finish this one as I was going through a learning phase at the time, it turned out pretty simple. I saw this tutorial that teached some of the basic steps, and this is the result:
It's looks way off my original concept, which was a space ship, instead it looks like an airplane, go figure. This is my first skin ever, followed a simple tutorial:
